Global Ministries (abroad):
Mission and evangelism Kerk in Actie supports partners in their mission and evangelism-programmes directed at spreading the good news of the Gospel in their specific context. An important aspect of this programme is the training of / for (lay) preachers.

World Service (diaconal work) Kerk in Actie aims to be in solidarity with people who suffer from injustice, poverty and violence. That is why we support, among other, health-care work, poverty reduction efforts, agricultural projects and human rights programmes. Kerk in Actie tries to provide direct support to people in need, to contribute to the empowerment of people and civil society actors and to promote an enabling environment to change situations of injustice. This might include advocacy and lobby by Kerk in Actie itself.
Emergency aid and rehabilitation When there is an earthquake, flooding or a sudden explosion of violence, rapid help is essential. For humanitarian aid, Kerk in Actie has a joint emergency unit with ICCO, a protestant co-funding agency. We are members of ACT International (Action by Churches Together). In this global consortium, we choose to provide aid through local partner organisations that have access to the victims and the disaster area. Kerk in Actie is also a member of the Samenwerkende Hulporganisaties (Combined Aid Organisations, SHO), a consortium of Dutch aid agencies.
Children at risk The Children at Risk programme focuses on children in violent situations, street children, working children, children in conflict with legal systems, sexually abused children, children in societies with hiv/aids and handicapped children. Also in this programme, Kerk in Actie tries to integrate direct support with empowerment and the promotion of an enabling environment.
Climate programme Climate change is a disaster for our world: flooding and drought are on the increase. The earth is becoming warmer because of our CO2 emissions. We profit, but poor countries pick up the bill. Kerk in Actie calls for a more honest balance: here less CO2 emissions and there durable and environmentally friendly development aid, for example by making solar energy available.
