Kerk in Actie works together with a broad network of partner organisations in 68 countries. They include churches, ecumenical organisations, missionary movements, human rights organisations, women groups and trade unions. Kerk in Actie's Mission and Evangelism programme is mainly carried by local faith communities. Kerk in Actie’s World Service programme aims to improve living conditions and promote justice in ways that involve the entire community. Here too, relations with local faith communities remain important, but there is also co-operation with secular organisations. Kerk in Actie adheres to international standards on relief work. This means, for example, that (emergency) aid is based on the needs of the communities and is not used to convert people to any particular denomination.
